MCSD: For .NET, With A Difference

If you already have skills on a rating of 9/10 in enterprise tools employing the development tools of Microsoft technologies, you have a way of making it 10/10. Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification allows you to do that in an exhaustive manner.

The difference between MCSD and its sister-certification MCAD(Microsoft Certified Application Developer) is that MCSD allows you to be an expert in the first two stages of a typical Software Development Cycle. A typical Software Development Cycle has six stage - Analyze, Design, Develop, Test, Deploy and Maintain. You could say that MCSD allows you to take over the analysis and designing of solutions whereas an MCAD professional builds the design formulas to usable applications. Both have inherently different ways of learning and examination contents, but I believe that MCSD takes the lead as "Applications cannot be built without a design".

An MCSD Certification must not (Not mandatory) be chosen by a professional who seeks a career in Database Management. Conceptually, these courses are different and only for the skilled. Not only skills, you should have been a lead developer role and must have analyzed business requirements along with defining the build-up of the solution. In other words, you must have proven your skills in this field even before you think of the MCSD Certification. So what does the MCSD Certificate do? The MCSD Certificate gives you a brand identity that Microsoft® has certified you to analyze and design Microsoft® products especially products working on .NET platforms.

As I said earlier, this course is slightly more complex (I say this for almost all the courses) than other courses. The reason being here you would need to pass four core examinations and one elective examination. Candidates can choose from either of the four - Web Application Development, Windows Application Development, Web Services and Server Components Development and Solutions Architecture. The core examinations test you on the core concepts related to Microsoft products and technologies, whereas the elective examinations test you on your area of focus, both combining to give you a leading edge in terms of your skills-personality in the IT industry.

Should you be experienced in Visual Studio 2005 or have used .NET 2.0, then the MCSD Certification will do absolutely no justice to your skills. MCSD is only and only for professionals whose core skills are any of the four mentioned above.

With some benefits already on your plate waiting for you to be certified with MCSD, here is a certification which takes your design and analysis skills on Microsoft products to another level.

If you wish to belong to the top for design and analysis, MCSD Certification is the way.
